Sofia is not only the capital city of Bulgaria, but is also a fascinating city with over 7000 years of history within its cobbled streets. The motto of Sofia is "Ever Growing, Never Ageing", and, as one of the oldest settlements in the world, Sofia lives up to its reputation as the crossroads of eastern Europe.

Today, Sofia is a modern and vibrant city, the center of the social, cultural, financial and political networks in Bulgaria.

The Province of Sofia surrounds the capital city of Bulgaria, and extends across the south west of the country. Sofia is an ancient province of some 628 sq. km, and passes across some of Bulgarias biggest mountain ranges. The main international routes connecting Bulgaria with Greece and Bulgaria with the Republic of Macedonia pass through it.

Plovdiv - The Eternal City of Bulgaria. Rome, Athens and even Constantinople were founded after this ancient town. A contemporary of Troy, a town that has survived Mycenae, Plovdiv is a city upon layers of cities and an epoch upon layers of epochs.

Haskovo region is a quiet and meandering province which attracts people to its pleasant atmosphere, healing mineral springs and plendid oak forests. Within Haskovo, you can also find such towns as the 8,000-year-old town of Stara Zagora, or the sacred Thracian Perperikon, the capital of the mightiest state of the Thracians, that of the Odris Kingdom.

More than two thousand years old, Bourgas is an excellent starting point for visiting the seaside resorts in the area. The port of Bourgas is the biggest Bulgarian sea port.

Nearby, we can find the towns of Sliven, which is the only town in Bulgaria never to have changed its original Slavic name, or Yambol, which originated as a Bronze age settlement around 2000 B.C.!

Varna is the peral of the Bulgarian Black Sea coast, and was founded before the Greeks founded Odessos in 850B.C.!

Nearby we can find such treats as the first Bulgarian capitals - Pliska and Veliki Preslav, or Madara - the Bulgarian Troy, with the unique Madara Horseman, listed in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

The province of Rousse is situated alongside the right bank of the Danube river. The town of Rousse was also known as "little Paris" for the Neoclassicism and Secession styles of its buildings, and is an ancient Bulgarian borough and a port.

Nearby we can find the "Srebarna" biosphere reserve, designated as world importance by the UN, or the fertile and picturesque Danube plain.

Lovetch occupies 946 sq. km. of land in the north-eastern part of Bulgaria. Nearby is Veliko Turnovo, the ancient Bulgarian capital dating from 4000 B.C., or Plevden, where the Ottoman empire was driven out of Bulgaria after 500 years of rule.

Montana is one of the largest provinces in Bulgaria, and contains such treasures as the natural park of "Vrachanski Balkan", near the city of Vratza, offers wonderful opportunities for hiking, or one of the most beautiful Bulgarian caves - "Ledenika".

Sunny Beach is the premier tourist destination with Bulgaria. Located on the sheltered southern coast of the Black Sea, stretching along a beautiful bay facing east. Sunny Beach is closed to the north by the descending ridges of the Balkan Range, thus blending sea and mountain in perfect harmony.
