In the city of Sofia you will be able to find several excellent universities with a wide range of facilities available.The Sofia University St. Kliment Ohridski for example is the first school of higher education in the country and therefore provides a large selection on faculties and departments. There is a total of 7 campuses which are connected with each other via bus, trolley bus and tram. St. Kliment Ohridski's faculties are: Biology, Chemistry, Classical and Modern Philology, Economics and Business Administration, Education, Geology and Geography, History, Journalism and Mass Communication, Law, Mathematics and Informatics, Philosophy, Physics, Pre-School and Primary School Education, Slavic Studies and Theology. Another important university is the Technical University of Sofia which is the largest of its kind in Bulgaria and offers eleven different faculties. There are four departments available: mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, industrial chemistry and mining and geology. Degree courses in engineering can not only be taken in Bulgarian but also in English, German and French. A third university is the Medical University Sofia which is the oldest institution in the country that teaches medical education. The majors include Medicine, Medical rehabilitation and egotherapy, Pharmacy, Stomatology, Health management and Health care. Of course those are only some of the universities in Sofia.
