Trojan itself does not have a university but therefore there are several cities located within 100 km, that do have universities. Pleven for example is situated 82 km to the north, Plovdiv 93 km to the south and Gabrovo 93 km to the east. Additional there is also the city of Sofia which can be found in a distance of 145 km (2h driving time).
