In the city of Rousse, you will find the University of Rousse "Angel Kanchev" which has been established in 1954. Students can choose between six different faculties: Agricultural Mechanisation, Electrical and Electronic Engineering and Automation, Automotive and Transport Engineering, Mechanical and Manufacturing Engineering, Business and Management, Pedagogy and Law Studies. The university ground provide several student hostels and apartments for families, a library, the University Computing and Information Services Centre, the Bulgarian-Romania Interuniversity Europe Centre, cafeterias, a job centre, facilities for families (kindergarten,...), an entertainment centre and much more. An subsidiary of the University of Rousse in Silistra and the Technological Colleges Razgrad and Silistra also belong to the "Angel Kanchev" University.
