Founded in 1964, the Technical University (TU) can be found in the city of Gabrovo. It was not until 1995 that the Higher Institute of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering got the status of a Technical University. Since then numerous students (including international students from Ukraine, Turkey, Syria, Albania, Macedonia Bangladesh and Moldova) graduated for Bachelor and Master degrees. The Technical University of Gabrovo consists of the Technical College of Lovetch and three faculties: Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Mechanical and Precision Engineering and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Electronics.
