The exclusive resort of Duni is a small shallow water bay situated 12km to the north of Primorski and 6 km to the south of Sozopol. It is on the coast road to the city of Bourgas and is easily accessible with taxis, regular buses and private minibuses all serving the area.
The Alepou and Arkoutino Beaches are wild and beautiful places. Alepou Marsh is separated from the sea by a 320 metre wide stip of sand and used to be a lagoon but is now a natural reserve. Just 300 metres off the coast is St Thomas Island which is also known as snake island because of the number of reptiles you will find there. It is uninhabited now but used to be the shelter for a Hellenic sanctuary. It is a popular place to visit because of its extensive cactus plantation.
The Perla Campsite to the south is in one of the most beautiful bays on the coast with the two nature reserves of Vodna Lilia (water lily) and Velyov Vir covering the area. The Via Pontica offers a stop off point for migrating birds flying south at the end of the summer, and literally thousands of storks, pelicans and over 30 species of birds can be seen here.
